The Theoretical Faculty organizes an admission examination process for the following specializations (full-time courses):

B. Music (in English) (3 years)
C. Musical Composition (4 years)
D. Musicology (4 years)
E. Conducting (4 years)
ADMISSION EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
Session I
Registrations: July 14 – 15, 2025
Admission Examination: July 21 – 23, 2025
Session II
Registrations: September 4 – 5, 2025
Admission Examination: September 8 – 10, 2025
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
– A4 Envelope folder
– Registration form – provided by the faculty secretariat – completed and signed by the candidate
– High school diploma or equivalent, in original; if the candidate has also registered for an admission exam at another faculty, a certified copy of the high school diploma and the competition card copy from the first faculty, authenticated by the secretariat of the Theoretical Faculty, or conditional acceptance procedure
– High school transcripts (in original)
– Birth certificate (photocopy)
– Identity card (photocopy)
– Medical certificate issued by the family doctor (in original)
– Four ¾ cm photographs
– For candidates applying for a second specialization/faculty:
a) Certificate proving student status and a certified copy of the diploma (the original remains at the first faculty), or
b) Bachelor’s degree, equivalent diploma, or graduation certificate, accompanied by a photocopy
– Marriage certificate – if applicable – (photocopy)
– For candidates applying for the Music program in English:
a) Language proficiency certificate with a minimum B2 level;
b) For those who do not have a language proficiency certificate with the required minimum grade, linguistic skills can be tested at the ANMGD headquarters, according to the faculties own methodology, upon request by the candidates.

* EXEMPTIONS FROM THE ADMISSION FEE
– Children of active or retired teaching and auxiliary teaching staff
– Children of the teaching, auxiliary, and administrative staff of the “Gheorghe Dima” National Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca
– Children with one or both deceased parents, as well as children from single-parent families
– Individuals at risk of losing their ability to meet daily living needs due to illness, disability, or poverty
