Candidate Information

FRAMEWORK METHODOLOGY

Admission to doctoral university studies is based on an examination organized in accordance with the framework methodology regarding the organization of admissions in higher education institutions in Romania, developed annually by the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth, and Sports (hereinafter referred to as MECTS), and with the specific regulations of the “Gheorghe Dima” National Music Academy.

CANDIDATES WITH UNIVERSITY STUDIES

Graduates with a master’s degree or its equivalent can participate in the admission examination process for doctoral university studies. The diploma or bachelor’s degree of graduates from long-term higher education before the implementation of the three Bologna cycles is equivalent to the master’s degree in the specialty.

UNRESTRICTED ACCESS

Citizens of European Union member states, states belonging to the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation have access to doctoral university studies under the same conditions as those provided by the normative acts for Romanian citizens, including with regard to fees (admission examination fee, tuition fee, doctoral thesis defence fee).

TRANSPARENCY

The doctoral school ensures the transparency of the procedures for evaluating and selecting candidates for doctoral admission to the positions offered by tenured doctoral supervisors and guarantees access to this information, including through publication on the Internet and other means of information (brochures, posters, etc.).
