Students’ Council of the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima”, Cluj-Napoca
Founded in April 2018, the Students’ Council operates as a representative and dialogue body for the student community of the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima”, addressing proposals and concerns raised by students. It ensures maximum student representation within all institutional decision-making bodies: Faculty Councils, the Administrative Council, and the University Senate.
The Students’ Council is currently led by the Executive Board composed of:
- Prefect – Constantin-Codruț Truță, Year II, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Musicology
The Students’ Council includes all students holding representative positions:
Student Senators (students who are members of the University Senate)
Student Councilors (students who are members of the faculty council)
Students responsible for the dormitory (Dormitory President)
Year representatives for each specialization
Distance learning student representatives
Student representatives of the Piatra Neamț branch
Students who are members of the University Ethics and Deontology Committee
Student representatives of the Student Association
Purpose
The Student Council of the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima” represents and supports the activities of the student community within the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima” Cluj-Napoca.
Objectives
Promoting and raising awareness of the need for constructive communication between students, teaching staff, and decision-making and administrative bodies.
Creating a framework for consultation and debate that facilitates the identification of students’ expectations, needs, initiatives, and proposals.
Formulating a set of viable solutions for issues of student interest.
Encouraging partnerships with and between entities whose goal is to support the student environment.
Mission
Developing a sustainable environment and high-quality practices regarding student representation at the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima.”
Actively contributing to the consolidation of a strong partnership between the education system and its beneficiaries.
